The different vineyards from which the grapes are obtained to make this wine were planted between 1987 and 1989 in a dry land, with sandy frank soils. The average altitude is 405 meters above sea level and are oriented from north to south for better sun exposure.

The Tempranillo vineyards were harvested during the last week of September, while the harvest of the vignets of Cabernet Sauvignon did not take place until the third week of October. In both cases, the waste and squeeze of the grape was carried out to subsequently refrigerate and cover it. In this way, the must macerated with its skins for 48 hours before starting the fermentation process, which lasted for 14 days. Once the fermentation was finished, it was discovered and only flower wines were used for the final couup, which remained in 8 -month American oak barrels. Subsequently, the wine was filtered and bottled.

It has an alcoholic graduation of 14%, a pH of 3.45, total acidity of 5.34 g/l and residual sugar of 2.9 g/l.

Serving this wine at a temperature between 15º and 17º, before being served it is advisable to decant it.

The Viñas del Vero winery owes its name to a river in the Somontano region, the Vero River, famous for its ravines, throats and cannons. The vineyard of Vero is established in Somontano at the end of 1986 with the acquisition of 550 hectares of land in Barbastro and other nearby populations. In 2008, Viñas del Vero became part of the Family of Vinos González Byass.
