He VIÑAS DEL VERO WINE LA MIRANDA DE DRYSTILLA It is prepared with an excellent selection of grapes mainly from Garnacha, complemented with Syrah and Parrata. It belongs to the D.O. Somontano

It was the first week of October when the Drystilla garnacha was harvested, after having harvested the Syrah and the parraleta during the second half of September. In all three cases, the harvest was made manually, and the grapes were released at the foot of the vineyard to begin the undercover right there. After cooling, alcoholic fermentation was carried out at a temperature below 25ºC for twelve days. After the discovery, the wine was cleaned naturally by decantation, and three trasiegos were made before filling the French oak barrels, where it remained eight months. Once the parenting in barrels was finished, the wine was filtered and bottled.

It has an alcoholic graduation of 14%, a pH of 3.42, total acidity of 5.23 g/l and residual sugar of 2.55 g/l.

The Viñedos of the Drystille Valley are located at the northeast end of the Somontano and gather a special "Mediterranean microclimate." Viñas del Vero cultivates in this valley 48 hectares of vineyard, mainly from Garnacha along with Parrata and Syrah. The relative altitude and the special orientation of these vineyards make it an area with many hours of insolation, which favors the maturation of the fruit. This whole valley is dry and the soils are Franco-anneous with enough stonyness.

The Viñas del Vero winery owes its name to a river in the Somontano region, the Vero River, famous for its ravines, throats and cannons. The vineyard of Vero is established in Somontano at the end of 1986 with the acquisition of 550 hectares of land in Barbastro and other nearby populations. In 2008, Viñas del Vero became part of the Family of Vinos González Byass.
