History of the Genevers Bols

The BOLS family began distilling genevers in 1664, since then have been refined the deftness of the distillation of genever. In 1820, Bols revolutionized with a more subtle taste of Geneva, this recipe resulted in a unique balance of malt wine, grain neutral spirit and botanicals. In addition to being excellent to drink directly, it was perfect for a new phenomenon, the cocktail.

Modern times

Currently two genevers, both still with the original 1820 recipe Lucas Bols Bols. Soft and subtle flavor comes from the use of more than 50% of wine in malta and triple distilled in copper stills.

Malta wine is the heart of good gin, is created by using a distillation of herbs selected very carefully, with the percentage of alcohol must be chosen by our Master Distiller, all this recipe gives as a result the perfect combination of aroma and sensation in the mouth
