Altos del Valdoso Crianza Red Wine

Its 138 hectares of vineyards are located at an altitude of 1,000 meters above sea level. 100% Tempranillo, with an average age of 35 years. For our Crianza, we hand harvest our medium-aged vines (between 25 and 30 years old).

Winemaking

The maceration and fermentation process lasted 15 days followed by malolactic fermentation in concrete tanks. Aging in wood lasted 14 months. The barrels used were American and French oak with an average age of 2 years. Subsequently, the wine was refined in bottle for about 12 months before its release to the market.

From the region of Castilla La Mancha, wines have been created and elaborated following a philosophy of Vinos de Pago with grape varieties from 82 hectares of new vineyards surrounding the winery with spectacular views.

The varieties that are chosen, as they have a good behavior in aging and way to adapt to the winery's winemaking methods, are chosen varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc (white), Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah (red). It is from these that wines with a deep character and personality can be made, keeping in mind the new tastes and consumers.
