The Costers del Segre Designation of Origin is based in the province of Lérida, made up of about 40 wineries and with nearly 4,700 hectares of vineyards; edo. The geographical area is defined with seven subzones: Artesa de Segre, Urgell, Garrigues, Pallars Jussà, Raimat, Segrià and Valls del Riu Corb, the area of ​​the denomination is different with inverted geological and climatic characteristics. The connecting link is the medium basin of the Segre River, between the Pyrenees and the Ebro, and the inland and dry climate, far from maritime influence and marked by high sunshine, low rainfall and persistent humidity from winter fogs.
