Rating by our sommelier Claudio Comella : Benito Santos was an enthusiastic lover of Albariño variety and founder of the winery in Vilanova de Arosa (Pontevedra ) , although somewhat unknown, was the first winery that participated in the Albariño Cambados in 1965 . Practica an honest and organic farming , and works under the concept that their wines are born in the vineyard , not the cellar , looking for all the attention and expression of terroir . Thus, their mythical Terra Cálago is a unique wine that comes from the complexity of three parcels of Albariño , each with its own characteristics : Payments Bernil , Xoan and Saiar .

Terra is a different Cálago 2007 Albariño , which breaks with the known in a matter of Albariño wines:this is a terribly young wine! How surprised we drink this wine and emphasize their youth . As regards aging potential , still has a few years to be at its peak .

We associate this Albariño his sister riesling : on its floral aromas, white fruit (apple and pear) and fine soft and ripe citrus. The nose, very elegant and " retroprogresiva " ( the aromas open and close) , expressed atypical perfumes royal jelly, rosemary and recuit . Let yourself be impressed by a varietal mouth where the terroir concept is expressed in the form of fresh , citrus acidity dynamics and , of course, with a long , floral and mineral satiny feel.
