The White Wine 200 Monges Gran Reserve is made 100% with Viura grapes from the D.O. La Rioja, this grape variety is a treasure for its fantastic condition and aging potential, you just have to let time pass for it to express all its greatness in terms of taste and smell structures.

This native grape is born in the vineyards of Alto Najerillo, at more than 600 meters above sea level, adapting perfectly to high lands, between two plots about 50 kms apart and two different valleys, it is the first single varietal wine with this variety produced by the brand, resulting in a genuine wine for its character.
The result is a wine that is genuine in its character and admirable for its freshness.

The winemaking process for "200 monges Gran Reserva Blanco" is based on the selection of the best grapes from both vineyards and they remain 3 days without pressing in contact with skins in order to perform a skin maceration, then begins fermentation with indigenous yeasts and an aging period of two years in barrels of 225 liters.

Vinícola Real is a small winery located in the town of Albelda de Iregua, in La Rioja, which specializes in making long-aged wines that tell the essence of the land and the landscape, unique wines that turn time into their best ally to mature and create complexity.

The name "200 monges" is a tribute to the disappeared monastery of San Martín de Albeda located in La Rioja and to all those monks who dedicated themselves to saving the culture.
