The Whiskey The Balvenie 15 years old takes its name from the castle overlooking the city of Dufftown, located in Speyside, Scotland.
The Balvenie distillery is the only one that grows its own barley and matures its new wooden products, Fino Jerez wine barrels and Oloroso Sherry barrels, the latter only for the mature finish.
For 15 years Balvenie Whiskey is made from a single traditional single oak distillation. Although each barrel is subtly different, the Balvenie Malt Master selects only those barrels that have the essential characteristics of the single barrel such as honey, vanilla and oak.
