Normally, the budget determines the type of wine cooler we want to purchase. However, the wine collection we want to store should be the most important factor to consider. What is the point of having a wine cooler with a capacity for 20 bottles if, in the end, we want to store 30, 40 or more bottles? You should buy a wine cooler with plenty of space, as it will always fill up with your wines.

The Correct Location for Your Wine Cooler
This is undoubtedly a very personal matter, but it is important to bear in mind that we also invest in a wine cooler for aesthetic reasons. Nowadays, wine coolers increasingly feature more attractive designs, so it would be advisable to place yours in a prominent location in the living room, dining room or kitchen, allowing you to admire the treasures stored inside.
You should choose a location without major temperature changes, as the compressor motor will otherwise have to work harder than necessary, which can lead to heat, noise or malfunctions. For this reason, it is not advisable to place the wine cooler on balconies, terraces, porches, in storage rooms or garages. Your wine cooler should be located in a room without excessive heating and with a neutral temperature.
It is better to keep your wines at a slightly higher but stable temperature than at a slightly lower temperature with fluctuations.

A wine cooler is still a household appliance, although it cannot really be compared with the other appliances we have at home, as it features a special and carefully designed appearance due to the place where it is located and the wines it contains.
It is advisable to take into account the décor of the home or premises where you are going to place your wine cooler, so that it integrates as well as possible. If you have a modern-style living room or room, you will have no problem, as there are many models that can create a perfect combination. If, on the other hand, the décor is more classic, there are also many alternatives in this style of wine cooler.
Wine Cooler Temperature and Humidity
Temperature and humidity are the two most important parameters to consider when purchasing our wine cooler.
Humidity should range between 65 and 70% to ensure that our wines are stored correctly. If it falls below this range, we may experience problems with dried-out corks, while if it is above this range, mould may develop inside the bottles.
The ideal temperature also varies depending on the type of wine. While red wine should be kept between 12 and 15 °C, white wines and Cava should be kept between 7 and 10 °C. We offer wine coolers with two temperature zones, which perfectly solve this issue. Another good alternative is to place white wines and Cava in the lower part of the wine cooler, where the temperature is lower, and place red wines in the upper part, adjusting the temperature manually to an intermediate range when choosing a wine cooler with a single temperature zone.
