Vino de la Tierra Córdoba is based in the wine-growing area of ​​Andalucia in the province of Córdoba, in Spain. The land was recognized on April 26, 2004 as a designation of origin. It currently consists of 8 wineries and about 860 winegrowers in the area. It has a vineyard area of ​​more than 220 hectares, and a production of more than 12,600 hl in total.

It is a producing area traditionally oriented to local markets and linked to family viticulture, where new grape varieties have been introduced while the farms have been modernized. The 8 wineries they have in the area are:S.C.A. San Acacio, Navisa Industrial Vinícola Española SA, Pérez Barquero SA, Alvear SA, Bodegas Jesús de Nazareno SCA, Bodegas Lama SL and Bodega El Pujio. These wineries allow us to taste wines always under the cultivation, production and aging standards established by their statutes.

The preferred and authorized red varieties in this designation of origin are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Tempranillo, Pinot Noir and Tintilla de Rota. With these varieties there are 3 types of wines produced in the area, rosé wines, young red wines and aged red wines.

The rosés are pale pink to slightly orange in color, and have a fresh aroma with fruity touches and a soft, harmonious and characteristic taste. The young reds are cardinal to ruby ​​reddish in color, and have a fresh aroma with fruity touches and a soft, harmonious and characteristic taste; and aged reds are powerful red to soft brick in color, and have a powerful, broad and very balanced aroma and a deep, broad and persistent taste.
