The Denomination of Origin Tacoronte-Acentejo is based in the province of Tenerife and was established in 1992, with about 1,200 hectares of vineyards and about 100 wineries that comprise them. with 1,800 winegrowers. The vineyards of this designation of origin are located on the northern slope of the Cordillera Dorsal of the island of Tenerife (Canary Islands). It receives all the humidity from the Atlantic thanks to the trade winds. Most of the vineyard is between 300 and 750 meters of altitude. Here the vine is grown on terraces or terraces.
