The red wine milestone of Bodega Cepa 21 is a 100% Tempranillo wine that belongs to the D.O. Ribera del Duero.
It is prepared from a selection of grapes from the lower parts of the cellar vineyards, fermented at controlled temperature in steel deposits for 30 days and has an 8 -month breeding in French oak barrels.
Milestone is a winery wine CEPA 21, born after the experience accumulated for many years by the brothers Javier and Jose Moro by Bodegas Emilio Moro, which is one of the most representative and emblematic wineries of Ribera del Duero.
In this new and ambitious project, the Moro brothers seek to unite the construction of a modern, minimalist and functional winery with the accumulated wisdom for generations to make some modern wines and in this new journey they wanted to gather some of their best friends and make them participants in the exciting sensations that it entails belonging and living closely the world of wine. The word "milestone" means stone post, sometimes carved, which serves to indicate the direction or distance on the roads or to delimit land.
The milestone wine was born as a young wine to complete the range of a modern and innovative warehouse. Made with the youngest vineyards of the winery, grafted with the fine red closes of the most emblematic vineyards of Bodegas Emilio Moro.
The history of the Moro family is written since 1932 as a project of three generations rooted in the Ribera del Duero and dedicated to discovering the characteristics of its terroir to transmit them in wines with personality.
Currently Bodegas Emilio Moro has 200 hectares of vineyards, most of which are located around the fishing of Duero, the birth town of the founder of the winery, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero.
