This wine, classified as 100% Fine Red, comes from various localities in the region, such as Villálvaro, Sotillo de la Ribera, Moradillo, Hontoria, Peñafiel, Quintana del Pidio, Anguix and Curiel de Duero. With an average altitude of 850 to 900 meters, these vineyards are located in the provinces of Burgos and Valladolid. The grapes are harvested from old vines, ranging in age from 35 to 100 years old, giving complexity and character to the wine.

The aging of the Tintafina Red Wine is a careful process that takes place in French oak barrels for 460 days. Of the final blend, 15% of the wine undergoes malolactic conversion in first year French oak barrels, adding additional nuances to the wine's profile. This time in barrel contributes to its complexity, offering a well-integrated structure and a balanced expression of flavors and aromas.
