Slivovitz Specht plum liquor.

The Slivovitz or Slivovice is an alcoholic, distilled and fermented drink of plum juice. It is similar to the Irish poitín and the home version usually uses different types of ingredients, including aromatic herbs. It is also very similar to brandy and is sometimes called plum brandy (or also Plum brandy in English). The alcohol content can vary in a range that ranges from 40-70 % by volume, but the most common as is this case of ELIVOVITZ Specht of Germany can range between 40-55 %.

One thing that helps to give Slivovitz a greater international attraction is that grains are not used in the elaboration of the drink, which allows it to be considered a Kosher and appropriate drink for the Jewish Easter party.

The plum liquor or brandy is the national drink of the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic (almost 70% of world production in this area of Central Europe is prepared). It is also very popular in Hungary, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Macedonia del Norte and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
