Salt came Abadía Retuerta 90 g comes from the port of Libourne (France). This salt originated in the 17TH century.
It got to discover that wooden containers were perfect for transporting wine by adding flavours and aromas. But the wine would also bring its color and its aromas to another of the most demanded products, salt! As the salt could not be sold with this color, sailors preferred to give it to the spouse of a famous innkeeper of the port. The Cook added spice to give a personal touch to your kitchen creating a recipe that has survived to this day and has been rescued by Pascal Delbeck, consultant of the Abadia Retuerta Winery winemaker, who kept the recipe for the "Ruby Valentine" secret.
It comes from the vineyard of Tempranillo grapes from the estate and it is planted on soils of boulders and soil of alluvial deposits of the Duero. After a complete maceration, it is introduced in new French oak casks which give it its intense flavor. It highlights the excellent maturity this tempranillo, which surrounds us with its fragrant aromas of Strawberry, licorice, herbs and mineral notes.
Ideal to accompany red meats grilled t-bone steak or skewers of lamb grilled, but also a good cod or white fish.
