Dahlia Gris, is a signature wine denomination of origin Penedés of the Grenache variety. Elegant and perfumed, the Dahlia Gris receives its name from the delicate pressing of Garnacha grapes, which gives it its unmistakable pale hue. It is a signature wine. It is also made with Garnacha grapes from a single estate, Can Almirall, which was planted in 1990, with a Cordon de Royat conduction system, on limestone soils at an altitude of 200 meters above sea level. The soils are well drained and moderately deep, of medium loamy-clay texture, with few large elements. They are brown in color and have a slope of 12%.

The climate is mild, influenced by the Mediterranean pre-coastal mountain range, with cold winters and warm summers and a significant contrast between minimum and maximum temperatures. The average annual rainfall is between 500 and 600 L/m².

Elaboración

The grapes are harvested by hand in boxes. Once it arrives at the winery, it is cooled in a cold room and then it is introduced directly into the press where the flower must will be obtained with a soft pressing that will later give rise to a wine of greater complexity and elegance. This must will ferment in stainless steel tanks with temperature control, 17 °C, with the idea of preserving the floral characteristics of the variety (orange blossom and jasmine). It is a non-crianza wine.

Excellent as an aperitif, to drink alone or with food such as salads, pasta or fish.
