The La Felisa Organic Red Wine from Bodegas Emilio Moro presents this red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero, made from 100% Tempranillo (Tinto Fino) grape varieties.
Felisa has been the axis of the Moro family and now her children pay tribute to her. This wine is the brand's first organic wine and free of added sulfites. It is made with grapes from middle-aged vineyards (between 15 and 25 years old).
The vineyards from which the grapes used to make this wine come are located in Pesquera de Duero, in the province of Valladolid, and grow on clay-loam soils.
Felisa is made from organic grapes without the use of sulfur, fermented at a controlled temperature, macerated for 15 days with skins and subsequently matured for 12 months in French oak barrels of 225 to 500 liters.
Recommended service temperature: Between 16 and 18ºC.
Emilio Moro Wineries
The history of the Moro family has been written since 1932 as a project of three generations rooted in the Ribera del Duero and dedicated to discovering the characteristics of its terroir to transmit them in wines with personality.
Emilio Moro was born in 1932 in Pesquera de Duero, one of the most coveted wine regions in Spain. As a child he treaded the grapes in the winepresses in his town and at the age of 14 he and his father sold jars of wine in the area.
In 1987 Emilio and his sons, José and Javier, decided to make and market their own wines, betting on vines made from native Tempranillo clones.
Currently, Bodegas Emilio Moro owns 200 hectares of vineyards, most of which are located around Pesquera de Duero, the birthplace of the winery's founder, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero.
