SPANISH RED WINE DOMINIO DE TARES CEPAS VIEJAS 2008 MÁGNUM
Crianza Tinto 9 months in barrels of the IO Bierzo, Mencia grape is made with 100%.
The name Old Vines describes the origin and age of this wine. 60 years Vineyards growing on terraces and slopes with gravel and slate floors iron. These characteristics, soil and planted strains therein, one naturally occurring loads of 4000 kg per hectare. The fruit from these vineyards has a skin-pulp ratio (very thick flesh and low water content in the pulp) very favorable for obtaining high quality wines.
For the production of this wine was selected the best fruit at a point of maturity that will provide a good phenolic concentration without losing lively acidity, which, in turn, provide a great freshness to the final wine.
The harvest of these payments begins around September 15 and after a selection in the vineyard to the winery comes in boxes of 15 kg. There is again manually classified the selection table.
It Makes a total stripping started three weeks maceration by pumping where we extract the full potential of aromatic and flavor possible.
Finally it is placed in French oak barrels (Allier and Nevers) and American (Missouri and Virginia) of 1-2 years of use, where malolactic fermentation carried for 9 months aging. The format of 1.5-liter Magnum is ideal for meals or celebrations.
