The flavored sweet wine came from love is made with 100% tempranillo grapes.
It is harvested through a manual selection of clusters in clay soils with a yield of 40 hl/hectare.
This wine is made from a young red wine where spices are mixed with honey and aromas make this drink a perfect accompanying for desserts.
As an anecdote, due to the proximity with the city of Mérida (after Rome, in Europe there is no city whose Roman remains are so important) they say that Antonio Medina found an old recipe for the Roman period of the famous chef Marco Gaius Apicius.
Following this recipe and investigating it, it has developed the Iulia brand wines, and the wine of love. Macerated wines with herbs and honey, creating unique wines in the world with fragrance of roses, violets, who perfectly pace with desserts and that the famous D. Custodio López (president of the Spanish sommeliers) recommends in his prestigious Zalacain restaurant.
