Rating: With this wine, Benjamin Romeo demonstrates how to make a great wine in a small Rioja winery, a wine, also unique and very expressive of its terroir.
His first vintage was in 1999 and since then has made from one assembly selectísimo bunches of different plots, some with vineyards that have more than 80 years. The result: a refined, sophisticated, exquisite wine, confirmed twice with the glory of the coveted 100 points Parker.
View 2004 received 100 points with four other wines in the country: Pingus 2004 Termanthia 2004 Viña El Pison 2004 Clos Erasmus 2004, the first Spaniards to obtain "perfection medal" wines.
2005 Contador again received 100 points by Parker Clos Erasmus 2005.
Pairings: red meats and cured cheeses.
Tasting notes:
• View: dark cherry color.
• Nose: Sublime. A great compendium of aromas that require time in Cup: ripe, fine and delicate spices and balsamic black fruit.
• Mouth: Excellent creamy feel, gourmand and refined texture. Persistent, with a long finish and full of elegance.
