Al agave se le añade la damiana, una planta tradicional, también mexicana, que crece en las tierras de Oaxaca.

La bebida fue idea de dos amigos que querían retomar una antigua leyenda según la cual un rayo golpeó una vez el corazón de un agave, también llamado gema, provocando una reacción química en él, tostando la planta y fermentando instantáneamente el azúcar que contiene.

La botella, totalmente blanca, lleva el logotipo de un diamante y un rayo, símbolo de esta leyenda mexicana.
