A “cigar” style barrel, which refers to the shape of a more elongated barrel, is also added to increase the ratio of liquid surface area to the barrel. This helps the Whiskey get more flavor from the wood.
The intention with this Whiskey was to create something that would be a little different from all the other Tennessee Whiskeys. Bob Dylan, with the help of many master distillers, decided to use a mixture of 70% corn mash and 30% “small grain” mash. This relationship, in addition to the minimum of 8 years in American oak barrels, provides a flavor unlike any other Tennessee Whiskey.
Heaven's Door is a Whiskey trilogy that features a Straight Bourbon, a Straight Rye and a Double Barica Whiskey that is a partnership between Bob Dylan and a businessman named Marc Bushala, the creator of Angel's Envy bourbon. This partnership was a work between a variety of different master distillers and master blenders to create something that had never been done before: a blend of the art and love of Whiskey.

NOSE
Aromas complejos de madera tostada, caramelo, especias dulces, con toques de frutas secas y vainilla, gracias a su paso por barricas de roble francés y el estilo "cigarro".
MOUTH
Suave pero con cuerpo, con un perfil equilibrado de dulce miel, frutas maduras y especias, acompañado de una ligera nota de centeno que da un toque terroso y robusto. El final es largo, cálido y ligeramente especiado.
