"Can Sumoi Perfum Organic White Wine" by Bodega Can Sumoi (Raventós i Blanc group) presents this white wine from the Penedès designation of origin, made from the grape varieties 30% Malvasía, 30% Macabeo, 25% Moscatel, and 15% Parellada.

Production: Gentle destemming and pressing in an inert atmosphere, low-pressure pressing. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 18°C, with indigenous yeasts from the vineyard for 18 days. Malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously.

Bottling: Sealed with a natural cork from the Iberian Peninsula forest.

Recommended serving temperature: Between 6 and 8°C.

Can Sumoi is the project of Pepe Raventós (Raventós i Blanc), born out of his passion for natural wines and his spirit of research. After traversing the Penedès in search of high-altitude land, he finally finds it in Coll de les Ventoses, on a hill that rises 600 meters above the Mediterranean Sea: the Sierra de l'Home, with a unique geology that gives the final product a unique character. There, he has restored a biodynamic farm that has existed at Can Sumoi since 1645, where natural high-altitude wines are now produced with minimal intervention in their viticulture and vinification processes.

The land of the Penedès designation of origin is vast and open, extending along a large strip of territory between sea and mountain, halfway between Barcelona and Tarragona.

In the heart of the Catalan Prelittoral Depression, between the Prelittoral Range and the small plains of the Mediterranean coast, the vines of Penedès ripen. Three differentiated areas make up the Denomination of Origin: the Upper Penedès (near the Prelittoral Range), the Maritime Penedès (along the sea and in the Littoral Range), and the Central Penedès (between one zone and another).

The region boasts a great diversity of microclimates, resulting from its coastal proximity and altitude. The climate is typically Mediterranean, meaning mild and warm. The area of the Maritime Penedès (Baix Penedès and Garraf) is milder due to the influence and proximity of the sea. The Upper Penedès (Alt Penedès, Alt Camp, Anoia, and Baix Llobregat) enjoys more frequent rainfall and greater contrast between maximum and minimum temperatures. The Central Penedès (mainly Alt Penedès) is a combination of both microclimates.
